RAIN!

After a good dinner at John's Pizzeria last night we got some NY Cheesecake from Junior's and went to Bryant Park for class.  Apparently, Junior's cheesecake is the most famous in the whole city.  It was pretty good!  The picture of Rachel with our raspberry swirl isn't very focused, but it was really good and she was really excited so I wanted to acknowledge her enthusiasm.
It started thundering and raining while we were having class.  We ran around the park in the pouring down rain and then sat back down under some umbrellas and listened to Dmac's lecture on urban theory.
It was fascinating!  I bet you never knew there were so many people with different ideas about what happens in urban contexts.  Most of the theorists we talked about last night saw the city as inherintly evil and condemned it for being the root of problems in society.  Obviously, I don't think these theories are necessarily true.  Sorry Illule, small town Iowa is not a utopia.  It's too bad people ruin things like cities.  Curse the fall and all of it's horrid effects on society!

Beautiful rain in the park!

And this is what it looks like to have class in the rain under an umbrella!
