Its been a while since I've been grocery shopping due to the great access of food in my position as a student and granddaughter of C heart C. . . in whose home there is always an abundance of leftovers.
This weekend holds a great many Christmas festivities. As the office manager, I have the primary responsibility of planning Christmas parties for both AS and SMU. Saturday evening will be the SMU Christmas party. Beginning at 7pm, we'll all meet at Adam's house and enjoy food and a white elephant gift exchange. In case you're interested, here is the (from scratch) menu for the evening:
-A full hot chocolate bar!
-Aunt Melody's homemade hot chocolate mix (accompanied by:)
-Marshmallows
-Peppermint sticks
-Whipped Cream
-Carmel Syrup
-Egg Nog
-Apple Cider
-French Press Coffee
-English Toffee
-Peppermint Fudge
-Carmel Corn
-An assortment of other cookies/desserts provided by various staff members
AS is a little bit more of a formal affair and I'll be serving:
-Full Hot Chocolate Bar (same as above)
-Assorted Teas
-Pistachio-Cranberry Icebox Cookies
-English Toffee
-Peppermint Fudge
-Russian Tea Cakes
-Chocolate Coconut Squares
-Glittering Lemon Cookie Sandwiches
-Cracker, cheese, and fruit platter
-A three-layer cheesecake made by Roe (our faculty advisor)
It should be fun! Wish me luck! I've got to start baking!!

Your hot chocolate bar sounded great! We'll have to do that at one of the family eat-fests sometime!
