we interrupt this programming for a special commercial break. . .

A recent study published by the "Heart of a College Girl Committee for Health and Wellness (HCGCHW)" stated that healthy boundaries are the key to a healthy heart.  Some tips they also published include the following:
  • Limit one-on-one time with the members of HCBCHW (aka, boys).
  • Limit intense eye contact with everyone.
  • Limit conversations about the HOG (Heart of God) with members of the HCBCHW.
  • Don't sing songs to members of HCBCHW.
  • Don't allow members of HCBCHW to sing songs to you.
  • Limit overall communication with members of HCBCHW.  This may include anything from talking, texting, facebooking, or letter writing.
  • When emotional about any type of interpersonal or intrapersonal issue, DO NOT consult members of HCBCHW, unless they are your father or brother (biological only!).
  • No adventures with only one member of HCBCHW.  Group adventures have proven to be beneficial for health and wellness, however.
  • Do not go shopping with members of HCBCHW.
  • Do not make petty comments or jokes about how members of HCBCHW would be good partners in marriage or for life.
  • Do not attend chapel, singspo or other prayer meetings with members of the HCBCHW.
  • Do not prophesy over members of the HCBCHW.
  • Do not do domestic favor/chores on behalf of members of the HCBCHW.  This may include doing dishes, cleaning floors, or baking tasty snacks.
  • Do not borrow clothing from members of HCBCHW or allow them to borrow clothing from you, especially pants.
The committee has found that following these guidelines will greatly increase the amount of personal growth in individuals up to a certain point.  They are, however, aware that the growth that happens once the members of HCBCHW and HCGCHW transition and become members of HIWDCHW (Heart of an Individual While Dating Committee of Health and Wellness) is just as healthy and valid as before the transition.
Inspired by a comment made by a member of HCBCHW, the HCGCHW has recently decided to focus more of their research and discussion on the use of boundaries with their hearts while decreasing the amount of research and discussion that they have been doing on the subject of the transition into HIWDCHW.  This member commented that for the individual there is a 'lack of time and energy to beat around the bush and be friendly,' but rather a need to be somewhat straight forward and bold in setting boundaries and making other members aware of these boundaries.  He is also quoted as saying that such bold communication is 'good for boundaries, good for health, good for your heart.'
The committee strictly suggests having such boundary-setting conversations either in person or over the phone with a relatively casual mood/attitude so as not to create more of a dramatic situation than is necessary.
Finally, the committee would like to announce that they are adapting the comment made by above quoted HCBCHW member as the theme for their new heart protecting strategies.  'Good for Boundaries, Good for Health, Good for Your Heart' will become an integrated part in the function and implementation of all committee policies and programs.

Study written and conducted by the following HCGCHW members: AE, ST, CR, HC, BN, and DD.
