Saturday afternoon, Mom, Dad, and I went to Thai Tom! It was SO great! I don't think I'll ever be tired of 'Steamed veggies with peanut sauce and fried tofu!' It's just too good. I think that's what Jesus is going to cook me in heaven sometimes. Its one of those foods that you have to worship God when you eat it because of the genius of the flavor combinations and everything. . . amazing.

I went from Thai Tom to Cambria's new condo in Queen Anne. It suites her so well. When you enter, the first thing that strikes you is the high ceilings. I think someone said that they're about 14 feet high! Her bedroom is immediately to the left. Painted a nice silvery-grey, it is very tranquil and relaxing. She has a small walk-in closet off her room and a small ladder leading up to a loft that is suspended above the closet and bathroom. Her living area is beautiful as well. A strikingly big window overlooks 2nd Ave and another quaint condo building. There is also a large tree outside her window, which I'm sure is beautiful in the spring when the leaves return to it. The walls are painted a beautiful honey color and again, the room presents a very professional and relaxing vibe. I really enjoyed it!
After enjoying some chicken enchiladas, we went and hung out with some friends of hers at a place about 7 blocks from her condo. They're a sweet couple, recently married, who Cambria met at her church--Mars Hill in Downtown Seattle. The place we went was called The Great Nabob. It was decorated with an interesting mix of classic colors, slightly industrial looking furnishings, and artsy show posters covering a few of the walls. The wall nearest our table was decorated with an elaborate painting of a tree. . . which I especially enjoyed.
Cambria and I enjoyed a variety of conversations during our time together. I feel like some of them brought some clarity to some questions I've been asking. I'm not sure they're answered, but somehow, I feel less confused about some things after talking with her. . . so thanks Cambria!
We went to church in the morning at Mars Hill and it was super good. I always enjoy their super Indie sounding worship. It makes me smile. And Jesus really met me, which is always nice!

When I got home we went to Sumner High School to watch 'One Year,' a film a guy from our church helped to produce. His name is Joel Parker and he started this foundation called the Nations Foundation. His heart is for snowboarders who don't know Christ. He's planning on making films that will attract snowboarders and then have them be evangelical. The film he showed this weekend was really interesting. He featured 7 different professionsl-ish snowboarders whose lives have been changed by Christ. I say professional-ish because one girl had won a gold medal at the olympics and some of the others were professionals, but not all of them. It was a really interesting film and there were a few spots where I could especially feel the witness of the Holy Spirit to what the people being interviewed were saying. It was really good! And it's always fun to observe Tobin and his friends. . . most of whom were present.
It was a good weekend!
I'm back in LA now. . . where it's hotter than I've been for a LONG time! I have two weeks until classes start and I'm hoping to be productive and be super prepared for my last semester of Biola to kick off!
