I'm writing a post for each day I'm here in Puyallup. I'm not sure if its because I'm bored or because I'm not bored. . . I guess we'll find out.
Yesterday I woke up to SNOW! It was just enough to be beautiful and wonderful but not cause any problems. And here is also a picture of the girls and I walking in old-town Seattle.
Today started out with coffee at Forza in downtown Puyallup with my friend Melissa. She and I haven't talked too much this semester and so it was so good to catch up and talk about our futures together. She is also graduating in May and will be pursuing music education. Good luck Melissa!
Another highlight of this trip already has been meeting Tobin's friends. Sometimes I just have to laugh because its so funny to me that my little bro is all grown up and having friends over to play wii and watch movies. Last night Jeff came over (I think some of you have heard the story about him being here when my mom dropped a pie on the ground the night before Thanksgiving. . . the story ends with him eating it anyway, that's why it was funny) . Jeff is a really sweet kid. He probably has spent a lot of time skateboarding, evident by the dialect of English he speaks (boarder-English). He had just gotten his nose pierced just like mine so we talked about that for a while. He's pretty cool. Of course I really like nose rings on guys, so that added to the coolness. He spent the night with T and hung out a little this morning/afternoon. He's a pretty good guitar player and I enjoyed hearing him dink around on my guitar.
After Mom & Dad left for a romantic night in Bellevue, Brooklin taught me how to play Kabookii on wii. It was super fun. I've never played any game (except for Clue with Bethany back in the day on Sega Genesis), but now I've played wii. . . which I really enjoyed. B and I were the only ones home, so we decided to make food for when the masses returned. We strapped on the aprons and hit the pantry. Chocolate chip cake. . .
Then time to hit the sac. It had been a fun night of playing Kabookii and just spending time together.
As the girls were laying in bed, I sang them some songs with my guitar. One of the songs had the word redemption in it and Jillian asked me what that meant. I had never considered that redemption isn't something that's easy for everyone to understand. Our conversation was sweet and the girls went to sleep assured that they are redeemed by Jesus who paid their ransom with his very blood. Thanks Jesus!
