Here are some more pictures I didn't add yesterday.
This is another one of my street, only it's the middle of the narrow street. The trees completely disguise the brownstones, but they're there.
And the entrance into the 72nd street subway station. I will end up being very familiar with this tunnel by the end of these two weeks!
And here is the tunnel.
Here is the greatest grocery store I have ever been in. Whole Foods Market in the Lincoln center. It was AMAZING! It's like Trader Joe's on steroids. I know we have them on the west coast too, but there isn't one close to me in LaMirada or Puyallup. This one has a huge grocery area with everything organic and healthy. Then in the middle of the store is a great salad bar. Seriously, it's incredible. Here is a picture of what I ate for lunch yesterday, and I went back again because it was so good and fresh and just what I needed when we've been eating out each night.
So what you see here is fresh greens with blue cheese crumbles, dried cranberries and a balsamic vinegarette. Fresh fruit salad, some cold Thai marinated chicken, cold cheese ravioli salad and Japanese soba noodles. Isn't it beautiful?
After I bought this and some juice, I had to find a place to eat it. Every soccer mom in the city was there eating. It was Satruday afternoon so I'm not sure if its a popular time to go grocery shopping or if they were all having lunch dates. In any case, I was pouring down rain outside so I sat against the front wall of the Lincoln Center under some shelter and ate my delicious food before heading onto Harold Square for a few hours.
