expo.

the sewing and stitchery expo 2010.
it was today.
americraft showplex.
puyallup fair.

mom and i talked about it last weekend and we have both been looking forward to going all week! we both spend a significant amount of time surfing blog after blog drooling over quilt patterns and vintage clothing wishing we had the time and energy to produce fun and beautiful stuff like people such as oh, fransson do!

well. what we both forgot is that the sewing expo of puyallup, wa is still a few decades behind the angry chicken and fixed on speakers like Elanor Burns.

while drinking my cup of coffee this morning i realized that i needed to prepare myself for the blast from past. specifically 1994.

you just have to wonder what they were thinking. . .

maybe since i'm an old man, i'll give off the grandpa vibe at the "sew baby" booth.

paris hilton will definitely wear this in 60 years. the giant rhinestone zipper makes it classy!

hey barb, if we wear those BRIGHT ORANGE fleece jackets from bob's hunting box in the garage we'll be sure not to loose each other today!

hon, we should wear our music note fleeces today since we spent all that time making them.

i wonder how i can adequately express the way i feel about edward cullen? i know, i'll make a floor length quilted jacket with pictures of twilight all over it. and i'd better write "twilight" on the back with white yarn so people don't get confused.

i have some friends who would probably want to buy a coat like that from her :)

i should have known there would be no shortage of crocs. . . or lace adorned socks with tennis shoes and skirts.

i have a feeling that this guy's wife owns the business. he's obviously bored enough to bring his own entertainment.

noon rolls around and there is no shortage of ravenous quilters. every seat was full. all the way to the far wall.

but i found some really fun stuff.
of course i found the booth with african fabrics!

and this is the inspiration for my next project. . . .
stay tuned.
